Canva to WordPress and WooCommerce

Selling on WooCommerce means owning the checkout, the data and the plugin stack. What most teams do not want to give up is the storefront design they already built in Canva.

Design and commerce are separate problems

WooCommerce handles products, cart and checkout. Your Canva design handles persuasion. Treat them separately: convert the presentation layer, then let WooCommerce own the transactional pages.

What to convert and what to rebuild

Convert the marketing surfaces; keep the transactional templates native so plugins and payment flows behave.

  • Convert: home, category landing, campaign and content pages
  • Convert: about, FAQ and support pages
  • Keep native: cart, checkout and account pages
  • Keep native: product templates that need live inventory

Running the conversion

Capture the storefront page while product media and fixed-ratio scenes and the responsive scaling wrapper are fully loaded.

  1. Open the page you want to convert in Chrome.
  2. Click the Themify extension icon in the toolbar.
  3. Press Generate theme and wait for the capture to finish.
  4. In wp-admin, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
  5. Upload the .zip, activate it, and the page is live on WordPress.

After launch

Test a full purchase end to end, confirm tax and shipping rules, and verify transactional emails before switching DNS.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move a Canva store to WooCommerce?
You can move the design with Themify; product data and orders are migrated separately through WooCommerce's own import tools.
Do cart and checkout convert too?
Leave those native to WooCommerce so payments, tax and plugins keep working.
Will the storefront still look the same?
The converted marketing pages match the original rendering closely, including layout, fonts and motion.

Try it in minutes
