Figma to WordPress: from prototype to live theme

Getting from a Figma prototype to a live WordPress site normally means paying a design-to-code service or briefing a developer for weeks. If you're willing to render your Figma design as a webpage first, there's a much faster path.

Figma is a design tool — WordPress is a CMS. To bridge them, you need something in between: the design has to exist as a real, rendered webpage somewhere. Once that exists, converting Figma to WordPress becomes a one-click operation with Themify.

The Figma-to-WordPress workflow

  1. Turn your Figma design into a live webpage (Figma Sites, Framer, Lovable, or a manual build).
  2. Open that live URL in Chrome.
  3. Run Themify and click Generate theme.
  4. Install the resulting WordPress theme .zip.

Why not "Figma to WordPress plugin"?

Direct Figma-to-WordPress plugins tend to produce brittle output that only works in one page builder (usually Elementor) and struggles with animations. Going through a rendered webpage keeps the workflow flexible: you can iterate on the design in Figma, republish the live URL, and re-run Themify to get a fresh WordPress theme.

Frequently asked questions

Can Themify read a Figma file directly?
No — Themify reads a rendered webpage, not a Figma file. But once your Figma design lives on any URL — via Figma Sites, a static export, a builder like Framer or Lovable, or hand-built HTML — Themify can convert it to a WordPress theme.
What's the fastest way to render Figma as a webpage?
Publish it with Figma Sites, or hand off the design to a builder like Lovable or Framer to produce a live URL. Any of these is enough for Themify to convert to a WordPress theme.
Does the WordPress version stay pixel-perfect?
Themify captures what the browser renders. If the live preview is pixel-perfect to your Figma design, the WordPress theme will match it too.
